Day 01: Lhasa - Pick-up Service

Arrive in Lhasa → Transfer to hotel by pick-up service → Acclimatize to the plateau climate (Pick-up service is provided by shared vehicle. We appreciate your understanding if there is a waiting time.)

Warm Tips:
On the day of arrival, please avoid taking showers. It is recommended to eat more vegetables and fruits, drink plenty of water, and refrain from smoking and alcohol. Maintaining a positive mindset is the best remedy for overcoming and alleviating symptoms of altitude sickness.

Special Arrangement:
To prevent altitude sickness, the first night's accommodation is arranged at an oxygen-supplied hotel. (Due to limited hotel resources in Tibet, oxygen supply hours are restricted at these hotels – we appreciate your understanding. The oxygen-supplied hotel may provide an oxygen concentrator, one unit per room. After 18:30 on the check-in day, please collect the oxygen concentrator from the hotel front desk by yourself. Note that no refund will be issued if you choose not to collect it.)

Special Notes:
1. Our travel butler will notify you via SMS one day in advance regarding the pick-up driver details. Please be sure to reply upon receiving the message. Thank you!
2. The pick-up service on the arrival day is provided by shared car, arranged by the travel agency. If you prefer a higher-grade vehicle, please inform us in advance. No refund will be provided if the service is unused.
3. According to regulations at Lhasa Railway Station and Airport, pick-up personnel are not allowed to enter the waiting halls. Please proceed to the square after exiting the station/airport, where the driver will be waiting. The driver will then take you directly to the hotel. Please check in at the hotel by providing your name.
4. Please keep your mobile phone accessible. Our staff will contact you before 22:00 to inform you of the next day's itinerary. If you have not been contacted by 22:00, please promptly reach out to your travel butler for assistance.

Day 02: Lhasa
Today is a free day. You may explore Lhasa on your own and wander around at your leisure.

Friendly Reminders:
1. Light exercise is acceptable.
2. The Tibet Museum is highly recommended. Opposite the museum is the Dalai Lama’s Summer Palace — Norbulingka, which is also worth a visit. If time permits, you may also go to Sera Monastery to experience the monks' debate session, dressed in their red robes.

Day 03: Lhasa - Shigatse

After breakfast, depart by vehicle for Shigatse, the capital of Ngari (later Tibet). Cross over the 4,600-meter-high Gampa La Pass, and catch a distant view of the Gampa La Radar Station. Visit Yamdrok Lake, one of the world's highest freshwater lakes, renowned as a "Heavenly Sacred Lake." Its waters are an unadulterated, profound blue, seeming to gaze deeply at the vault of the sky above. This majestic beauty, once lying hidden along the serpentine curves of Yamdrok Lake, now stands alone in its grandeur, no longer quietly overshadowed by the lake's fame. Afterwards, proceed to visit the ancient Karola Glacier and the filming location of the movie "Red River Valley"—Gyantse County Town. View the distant Dzong Castle, an anti-British historical site, before continuing directly along the China-Nepal Highway to Shigatse, the strategic town of later Tibet.

Friendly Reminders:

1. Due to the relatively low volume of independent tourist traffic on the plateau and limited vehicle resources in Tibet, small to medium-sized vehicles are generally used for the 3-day trip to Mount Everest. Please leave your large luggage at your Lhasa hotel and bring only a soft bag (containing essential toiletries and a change of clothes) for the Everest leg of the journey. Thank you for your understanding.

2. Yamdrok Lake and the Karola Glacier are at high altitudes, and each guest's physical condition varies. For safety reasons, the itinerary might sometimes include a stop at an oxygen service center first. Guests can decide whether to rent oxygen based on their own physical condition. Your understanding and cooperation are appreciated.

Day 04: Shigatse - Mount Everest

After breakfast at the hotel, depart and pass through Lhatse, known as the "Hometown of Highland Barley," then arrive at Tingri. After passing the Lhulhu Checkpoint, take the sightseeing bus to the Mount Everest Base Camp. Take photos at the 8848.86-meter monument. (If interested, you may optionally visit Rongbuk Monastery, about a 15-minute walk from the monument, at your own expense of 30 RMB/person, to gaze upon Mount Everest). Here, you will encounter the world's highest peak, Mount Everest. If fortunate, you may witness the iconic "Banner Cloud" drifting like a life-force flame above the summit. Dinner will be instant noodles (no refund if uneaten). Accommodation conditions at Everest are very basic; please be mentally prepared.

1. Today's departure time depends on the border defense office's permit processing schedule. During holidays, with fewer service windows open, wait times for the Border Permit may be longer. We appreciate your understanding. The driving time today is extensive; please maintain a positive mood. Conditions at Everest are limited and quite basic; please prepare accordingly.

2. Overnight stay at a Mount Everest guesthouse in a shared dormitory room. (If opting for a tent, pay the price difference directly onsite; the price varies by season. Complaints regarding this are not accepted!)

Day 05: Mount Everest - Shigatse - Tibet

Breakfast is self-provided today. Travel by vehicle to Shigatse. You may feel life subdued by the vast wilderness and profound silence, becoming both small and lucid within the purity of the cosmos. With lingering nostalgia for Mount Everest, return to Lhasa, transfer to the hotel, and rest.

Remarks:
1. The journey involves long hours on the road today; please rest adequately to recover from travel fatigue.
2. Due to limited passenger flow on the plateau route, the return trip from Shigatse to Lhasa may be changed to second-class hard seats on the high-speed train. Guests will need to take a taxi from Shigatse to the train station at their own expense, which will be reimbursed by our travel agency. Thank you for your understanding.

Day 06: Lhasa
Lhasa has an altitude of approximately 3,650 meters. Today's itinerary includes a half-day guided tour of the Potala Palace in the morning, followed by free time in the afternoon for you to explore Jokhang Square and Barkhor Street on your own.

Potala Palace:
In the morning, visit the Potala Palace, the world's highest-altitude ancient palace-style fortress (admission ticket included, visit duration about 1 hour, optional audio guide rental at 30 RMB/person). The Potala Palace was originally built during the Tibetan Empire in the 7th century under the reign of the young unifier, Songtsen Gampo, who moved the capital to Lhasa and established the prototype of this magnificent palace. The 5th Dalai Lama later expanded the original structure, constructing the current White Palace, and decades after that, the regent Desi Sangye Gyatso added the Red Palace. This made the Potala Palace the political center of old Tibet, securing its sacred status in the hearts of all Tibetans.

Free Time Activities:
After the tour, enjoy free time. You can head to Chakpori Hill (Medicine King Hill) near the west gate, where you can take out a 50-yuan RMB note and photograph the Potala Palace from the angle depicted on the back of the bill. You may also explore Jokhang Square and Barkhor Street at your own pace—ideal for strolling, relaxing, or tasting local snacks. The area around Jokhang Square is known for its authentic Sichuan restaurants, perfect for satisfying your culinary cravings!
Guests will return to the hotel independently.
                      
Potala Palace Visiting Guidelines

I. Visiting Instructions

1. Visitors must carry their original valid ID document to enter the Potala Palace. Sandals, short-sleeved shirts, and shorts are not permitted during the visit.
2. Staff will notify you of the specific assembly time and location by 22:00 the day before the visit. If you have not received notification by this time, please promptly contact your customer service representative.
3. The specific visiting time is randomly assigned by the Potala Palace Administration Committee. The travel agency cannot guarantee time slot requests.

II. Ticket Booking Instructions

1. Current regulations stipulate that one guide may accompany a maximum of 26 visitors (subject to change per Administration Committee rules). Due to limited ticket availability, organizers obtain tickets through various channels (group tickets, individual tickets, institutional visit tickets, administrative supplementary tickets, special approval tickets, etc.). Guests must comply unconditionally with arrangements resulting from specific channel requirements. Occasionally, approved visitor lists may not include guides, in which case visits will be self-guided without grounds for complaint.
2. While travel agencies book tickets days in advance, specific visiting time slots are randomly assigned by the Administration Committee and notified only one day prior. Therefore, the entry time and actual visiting route may differ from the itinerary.
3. Per new regulations, independent travelers may be assisted by local staff in booking tickets online before departure. Your cooperation is mandatory. The company assumes no responsibility if failure to cooperate results in inability to visit.
4. Children under 1.2 meters may enter with adults. Children above 1.2 meters require full-price tickets. Those without tickets must wait in the vehicle.

Day 07: Lhasa - Airport / Station Drop-off

Service:

Only provides drop-off service on the same day. If guests need to stay longer in Lhasa, please arrange transportation to the airport/station independently. No refund will be issued for unused drop-off services.
Drop-off arrangements will be scheduled according to flight/train times. Guests are required to complete check-in procedures independently at Lhasa Airport. Under special circumstances, guests may be arranged to take the airport shuttle bus to the airport.
(Note: Please check out before 12:00. Late check-out will incur additional room fees payable directly to the hotel.)

Important Reminders:

1. The itinerary is for reference only. The organizer reserves the right to adjust the schedule and order of visits without changing the included attractions. If attraction closures or maintenance occur due to uncontrollable factors, substitutions with nearby comparable attractions will be negotiated. Ticket fees will be refunded or supplemented accordingly. No compensation will be provided for such changes.
2. Scenic images shown are for reference only. Actual views cannot be guaranteed. These images shall not be used as grounds for complaints.
3. Please provide clear copies of both sides of a valid ID card upon registration. The ID must remain valid throughout the entire journey.
4. Border Permit Requirement: This itinerary requires a border permit. Individuals with ID numbers starting with 65/63/54, or those with household registration in the five major Tibetan regions (Aba Prefecture, Gannan, Ganzi Prefecture, Qinghai, Xinjiang, Tibet) must obtain the Mount Everest border permit in their place of household registration before entering Tibet. Those unable to obtain the permit in Lhasa due to these conditions will bear full responsibility for any travel disruptions caused.
5. Please raise any issues during your stay in Tibet for local resolution. Complaints filed after departure from Tibet will not be accepted. Thank you for your understanding.
 6: The travel agency reserves the right to adjust the sequence of the itinerary without reducing the number of attractions. This shall not be grounds for lodging complaints.
7: Guests are required to prepare one suitcase and one soft bag. Suitcases larger than 22 inches must be stored at the Lhasa hotel. Only soft bags are allowed for the Mount Everest leg of the journey. Please take note.

Service Standards

1. Accommodation:
• 5 nights in standard twin rooms at hotels in Lhasa and Shigatse.
• 1 night in a multi-person shared room at a local guesthouse at Mount Everest Base Camp. (Upgrading to a tent requires paying the price difference on-site, which varies by season. Complaints regarding this will not be accepted.)

2. Attraction Tickets:
Includes admission tickets for the Potala Palace, Yamdrok Lake, Karola Glacier, Mount Everest (with sightseeing bus), and Qilin Gorge (with sightseeing bus).
Note: Tibet implements a winter free-ticket policy. If attractions are closed or free during the visit, no refunds will be issued for unattended sites.

3. Transportation:
• One regular seat per person. Vehicles range from 5 to 29 seats depending on group size.
• Transfer between Shigatse and Lhasa may be by coach or second-class high-speed train. Seat availability is not guaranteed, and vehicle arrangements are non-negotiable.

4. Meals:
• 5 breakfasts + 5 lunches/dinners (meal standard: 20 RMB/person).
• Dinner at Mount Everest Base Camp will be instant noodles or porridge.

5. Border Permit:

Covers the cost of the Border Area Entry Permit for Shigatse and Mount Everest regions.

Cost Exclusions

• Additional expenses caused by force majeure including but not limited to traffic delays/cancellations, wars, strikes, natural disasters, etc.
• The above schedule is for reference only. Our agency may adjust the visiting sequence after consultation with guests, provided that no attractions are omitted.
• All "road condition" data provided in the itinerary are for reference only and shall not serve as grounds for complaints.
• No refunds will be issued for voluntarily unutilized "complimentary" items or those canceled due to reasons beyond the organizer's control.
• Additional costs arising from itinerary delays/changes due to force majeure (e.g., traffic delays, natural disasters, policy-based price adjustments, flight/train cancellations or schedule changes) shall be borne by guests. Our agency will only refund unused accommodation fees and assumes no further liability. No refunds will be granted for last-minute voluntary cancellations. Any extended stays or attraction visit disruptions caused by guests will be at their own expense.
• Price differences resulting from government policy adjustments shall be paid by guests. Other potential fees arising from such changes shall be settled locally by guests.

Travel Notice

★ To ensure a pleasant journey and safeguard personal safety, all esteemed tourists must follow the arrangements made by our company's drivers or tour leaders upon arrival at the destination. If any guest leaves the group without authorization or joins other groups, our company will consider the contract terminated in advance. Should a guest need to leave the group, prior written notice must be provided to our staff. No refund will be issued for the remaining itinerary, and our company shall not be held liable for any resulting personal or property safety issues. We sincerely urge all tourists to heed our advice!

(1) Withdrawal due to personal reasons:
Regardless of when or where the withdrawal occurs, no fees will be refunded.

(2) Withdrawal due to force majeure:
If the itinerary cannot continue due to force majeure, all team members must reach a consensus and may choose one of the following options:

A. Change the route. If the new route's distance and road conditions are similar to the original, the cost remains unchanged. If they differ, fees will be adjusted accordingly (with refunds or supplements as needed).
B. Return along the original route. The cost will be calculated based on actual expenses incurred, including vehicle, tour leader, accommodation, meal, and ticket fees for the return period. Fees will be adjusted accordingly (with refunds or supplements as needed).
C. Terminate the trip locally. The cost will be calculated based on actual expenses incurred plus the return fees for the tour leader and driver. Fees will be adjusted accordingly (with refunds or supplements as needed).

(3) National Day Golden Week:
For tours that include dates during the National Day Golden Week, regardless of when, where, or how the withdrawal occurs, no fees will be refunded.

Group Tour Instructions

This long-distance journey features extended duration, significant temperature variations, and traverses mostly high-altitude areas. Please read the following instructions carefully before signing up:
(Our company shall not be held liable for any consequences, losses, or compensation claims resulting from altitude sickness. Assistance may be provided to purchase travel or outdoor activity insurance.)

Individuals who should NOT participate include those with:
• Heart disease, hypertension, current cold/flu, diabetes, liver disease
• Respiratory system diseases, infectious diseases, cardiovascular or cerebrovascular diseases
• Severe anemia, recovery period from major/moderate surgeries
• Mobility impairments, pregnancy
• Any condition unsuitable for prolonged fatigue during long journeys
• Persons over 70 years old
Visitors with organic diseases, severe anemia, or critical hypertension have reduced adaptability to high-altitude environments. They face significantly higher risks of acute mountain sickness during initial high-altitude exposure and are more susceptible to various chronic mountain illnesses during extended stays.

Requirements:
1. Participants must ensure good health and physical capability to complete this tour. A pre-departure medical examination is mandatory to confirm the absence of cardiovascular/pulmonary organ issues. Those with health concerns must consult doctors regarding participation suitability, carry appropriate medications, and assume full responsibility for health-related consequences.
2. Visitors with hearing or visual impairments require accompaniment by a healthy travel companion. Individuals with psychiatric conditions or limited behavioral control are ineligible for participation.
3. Do not conceal medical conditions for safety reasons. Alternative itineraries are available (concealment of conditions will result in assumption of all consequences).
4. Semi-Independent Tour Risk Disclaimer
We provide semi-independent tour arrangements. During scenic area visits, participants enjoy free time at their own schedule and responsibility. Our agency shall not be liable for any accidents occurring during independent activities, including but not limited to:
• Injuries from horse riding falls
• Animal bites
• Food poisoning
• Altitude sickness
• Drowning incidents
While we assume no compensation liability for such incidents, we may assist in filing travel accident insurance claims. Participants experiencing sudden illness must notify staff immediately. The organizer will arrange emergency transport to the nearest medical facility for examination/treatment.
5.For foreign tourists, some attractions may have different regulations. Please consult customer service before placing your order.

Penalty for Default

[traveler default] 
If the order is in the pending travel state and is canceled due to the traveler's reason, the fee deduction standard is as follows:

Before the trip starts, the default fee is 7% of the total order cost. 
5% for 7 days or more,  20% for 4-6 days , 40% for 1-3 days , and 60% on the day of travel. 
If the contract is terminated during the trip, the standard for deducting necessary fees is as follows: 
Total order cost × default fee on the day of travel + (Total order cost - Total order cost × default fee on day of travel) ÷ Total travel days × actual days traveled.
Special note:
If the deducted fee is less than the actual fee incurred, the traveler should pay the actual fee incurred, but the maximum amount should not exceed the total order amount.

If the order is in pending travel state and is canceled due the travel agency's reason, in addition to full refund, the travel agency should pay the following default fee:
Before the trip starts, the fee is 7% of the order total cost.5% for 7 or more days, 10% for 4-6, 20% for 1-3, 
and the travel agency should refund the order and pay the default fee according to the above standard within 5 working days after the notice of cancellation reaches the traveler.
