Itinerary Arrangement

Day 01: From All Regions → Hohhot → Airport/Train Station Pick-up → Hotel Check-in

Guests arriving in Hohhot from various locations will be greeted by our staff at the airport or train station. We will arrange hotel check-in as promptly as possible, allowing you to quickly settle in and begin enjoying the beautiful scenery of the "Green City." From the very start of your journey, we strive to ensure a comfortable and pleasant experience for all our guests.

Hohhot is a city rich in historical charm, where vast grasslands blend with urban landscapes, and ancient traditions meet modernity. Strolling through its streets and alleys, one can almost hear the echoes of history. Whether you're exploring the grasslands, savoring local cuisine, or visiting cultural heritage sites, Hohhot promises unique surprises and memorable experiences!

Day 02: Hohhot – Xilamuren Grassland – Mongolian Welcome Drink – Crossing Yinshan Mountains – Wuchuan County

After breakfast, depart by coach for the Xilamuren Grassland. Basking in the warm winds from Hohhot in the south and within earshot of the bells of the Bailing Temple in the north, the grassland takes its name “Zhaohe” from the Qing-dynasty Puhui Temple standing by the river. In summer and autumn, the prairie is carpeted with wildflowers and lush grass—a soothing and captivating vista. Here you can experience the solemnity of an Oboo (Mongolian sacred stone mound), the thrill of a grassland sunrise or sunset, and other unforgettable moments.

Pass through the Yinshan Mountains, an east-west trending dragon-vein of the Mongolian Plateau that forms part of the Hohhot-Baotou-Ordos economic zone. This land, once ruled by King Wuling of Zhao, is echoed in the Northern Dynasty’s folk poem: “By the Chiluo River, beneath the Yinshan Mountains, the sky arches like a yurt, sheltering the wild plains.”

Later, pass through Wuchuan County, a natural divide between agrarian and nomadic cultures, and the homeland of Northern Wei Dynasty emperors.

Day 03: Xilamuren Grassland - Xiangshawan (Resonant Sand Bay)

When the first morning light breaks through the horizon, golden rays intertwine with the emerald green grassland, painting a breathtaking natural picture. You may wake up early to watch the sunrise on your own and experience the unique sense of freedom that belongs to the grassland.

After breakfast, travel by coach to the national AAAAA-level tourist attraction—Xiangshawan (Resonant Sand Bay). Please note that the cable car fee (100 RMB/person) is not included and is mandatory. The sand here "sings." Xiangshawan is located in Dalad Banner, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It is a famous comprehensive desert resort in China, integrating sightseeing and leisure vacations. Situated at the eastern end of the Kubuqi Desert, the scenic area features vast, towering dunes standing side by side, creating an immense, seemingly endless desert sea. The dunes reach heights of 110 meters with a 45-degree slope, forming a crescent-shaped, massive sand mountain that acts as a natural echo wall, hence the name "Resonant Sand Bay." Upon entering, you are first greeted by an expanse of golden desert, with fine, soft sand grains shimmering like silk threads under the sunlight.

Day 04: Hohhot → Ulanhad Volcano

After breakfast, take a coach to Ulanhad Volcano, the only Holocene volcanic eruption geological relic in the northern part of the Inner Mongolia Plateau, renowned as a natural "volcano museum." En route, pass by the beautiful Huitengxile Grassland (brief stop for sightseeing depending on the route; please note the visit duration is short). Stroll across the grassland, experience herds of horses passing by up close, watch the windmills slowly turning, and feel the otherworldly Mars-like landscape and the romantic charm reminiscent of a Miyazaki film. Climb to the top of the volcano for a panoramic view of the entire wilderness. (Starting from May 1st, a scenic shuttle bus is available at 30 RMB/person. This is a mandatory self-paid item.)

Day 05: Hohhot - Airport/Station Drop-off - Return Home

Sleep in and wake up naturally. After breakfast, enjoy free time. You can choose to relax at the hotel or take a stroll around the city. This concludes the pleasant journey!

Service Standards

1. Transportation: Local air-conditioned tourist vehicle with one guaranteed seat per passenger.

2. Attractions: First-entry group tickets for attractions listed (excludes cable cars and scenic area shuttle fees).

3. Meals: 4 breakfasts, 3 main meals (breakfast is included with hotel stay; non-refundable if unused); main meals are group meals.

4. Hotel: 3 nights in online-rated 3-diamond hotels + 1 night in a special Mongolian yurt. Single room supplement applies for odd-numbered gender groupings.

5. Shopping: The itinerary includes a visit to a shopping area within a characteristic minority village. A visit to a formal, large-scale local specialty supermarket for souvenirs is arranged before the trip concludes.

6. Insurance: Travel agency liability insurance is included. Purchasing personal travel accident insurance is recommended.

7. Children's Policy: Includes half-price meals, local seat on vehicle, and guide service. Excludes attraction tickets, boat tickets, and hotel bed. Additional costs are borne individually.

Exclusions

1. Transportation: Round-trip airfare/high-speed rail tickets from your departure city to the tourist destination are not included and are to be arranged individually.

2. Scenic Area Transportation: Auxiliary transport within listed scenic areas (e.g., electric carts, cable cars) is not included.

3. Optional Activities: Self-paid activities recommended by the tour guide during the trip are not included.

4. Single Room Supplement: Hotel accommodation is based on twin-sharing standard rooms. A single room supplement applies for guests requiring a room to themselves.

5. Losses & Additional Costs: Any costs arising from personal injury, property loss, or additional expenses due to accidents (e.g., traffic delays/cancellations), force majeure, or the traveler's own breach of contract/fault are not included and are to be borne individually.

Travel Tips

① Regarding Children

If you need to bring a child aged 2-12, the child's cost must be covered separately. Please contact customer service for details.

The child's cost includes a seat on the vehicle, half-price main meals, and guide service. It excludes breakfast, a hotel bed, and attraction tickets. Any additional costs incurred shall be borne individually.

② Other Groups

If you need to bring tourists from other special age/groups, please inquire with customer service for detailed costs.

③ Regarding Hotels

During peak tourist seasons, if the reserved hotel is fully booked, our agency reserves the right to arrange alternative accommodation of an equivalent standard.

After check-in, please check promptly whether the hotel amenities are complete and if the basic facilities are functioning properly. If you find any issues with the room facilities, please contact the hotel front desk staff immediately.

Accommodation is uniformly arranged as standard twin rooms (two single beds) by default. If you have specific requirements regarding the room type, please inquire in advance during booking to check availability. Requests made at the last minute cannot be accommodated.
